Maple Roasted Trail Mix is a sweet-and-salty fall snack with nuts, seeds, dried fruit, and warm spices roasted in maple syrup.


Ingredients

2 cups mixed nuts

1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

1/2 cup dried cranberries

2 tbsp coconut flakes (optional)

1/4 cup maple syrup

1 tbsp coconut oil

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/4 tsp salt


Instructions

1. Preheat oven 325°F.

2. Mix nuts, seeds, coconut flakes in bowl.

3. Stir maple syrup, oil, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt. Toss with nut mixture.

4. Spread on baking sheet.

5. Roast 20–25 minutes, stir halfway.

6. Cool completely, add dried fruit.

7. Store airtight.

Notes

Add cayenne for heat. Mix in chocolate chips after cooling. Great for gifting in jars or bags.
